Joy McCullough-Carranza writes books for kids and teens, and plays for adults. Her debut novel, based on her original play, BLOOD WATER PAINT, will be published in the spring of 2018 by Dutton Young Readers.
She has a degree in theater from Northwestern University. Her plays have been developed and produced in Seattle, San Diego, Chicago, and New York.
Joy lives in Seattle with her husband, who she met while traveling through Latin America, and their two homeschooled children. She blogs (sporadically!) here and is also a part of the team blogging about middle grade books and writing at Project Mayhem. Find Joy on Twitter at @JMCwrites.
